Santa and Christmas rang our doorbell early this year!!!!!! and OMG! OMG! OMG! are we ever happy we answered it!!!!
I would like to start by saying, I feel so blessed to not only meet some of the world’s most fantastic people, but some of the worlds most talented as well. Look what we got for the new studio in Ottawa!!!!
An original JENNIFER SEYMOUR urban landscape piece. Her photographs are altered and transposed into what becomes a personal view of the city that surrounds her. Photographs are then transferred to maple paneling, becoming a departure point. Charcoal, pastel and thin layers of acrylic glaze find their way into the work, altering and enriching the composition. The work is sanded and glazed in successive layers creating a surface which becomes as much a consideration as the subject itself.
When I first met Jennifer we talked about art, and photographing her wedding to Kevin @ Brock House – you may remember Jennifer from her wedding photos (click here and here) not only did SHE have the most stunning blue eyes, and the worlds’ biggest heart, she is also an INCREDIBLE artist!
