RAW BEAUTY TALKS are women of all shapes, sizes, ethnicities, allowing and trusting a photographer to capture their real beauty shining thru.

Photographing beautiful women, empowering others is right up my alley. When I saw what Erin was doing, this Vancouver portrait photographer jumped on the band wagon to join the movement. 🙂

Tell us about yourself in under 100 words
I am a good daughter, sister, friend, lover, and co-worker. I treat people with respect, kindness and understanding. I work hard on all of my relationships and in return I have been surrounded by so much love and support that it enables me to live my curious life. I have chosen an unpredictable, adventurous path that is always changing and the only reason I have had the confidence to do so is because of all the wonderful people around me. The thing I value most in life is my relationships and I will do anything for them.
When do you feel most beautiful? When I am happy and living in the moment. Whether it be laughing with the people I love, sitting on the beach, seeing my favourite band, working on a project that inspires me, seeking the unknown, after yoga or meditation. It’s not about feeling beautiful on the outside, if I feel beautiful on the inside it shines through.
What is your definition of beautiful? Someone who lives passionately, full of light and is comfortable in their own skin.
I love… my life. It hasn’t always turned out the way I had envisioned it, but I have learned to love it just the same because it is where my choices brought me. I live at the beach, have a wonderful family, amazing friends and community and l am inspired on a daily basis….doesn’t get much better than that.
My body… is strong and healthy. I have been doing yoga for many years but until I found my current yoga teacher I never understood the connection between mind, body and soul. Now that I have found it I have never felt more comfortable in my own skin and feel like I keep getting better with age.
If appearance didn’t matter….actually I think appearances do matter because that is partly where attraction and connection comes from. The physical appearance is only one aspect though, it is your personality and how you feel about yourself that plays a more significant role. Happiness, positivity and kindness can make everyone more attractive.
My message to other women out there… is to live the life you desire. It isn’t the same picture for all of us but if you are good to yourself then you can be good to those who surround you. Seek the unknown, build healthy relationships and be inspired. Some days are tougher than others but if you have a good foundation within yourself and your community then you will always come out the other side.
