HAPPY EARTH DAY!!!!

From Wikipedia: Earth Day, celebrated April 22, is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s environment. It is held annually during both spring in the northern hemisphere and autumn in the southern hemisphere. It was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in in 1970 and is celebrated in many countries every year.

The United Nations celebrates an Earth Day each year on the March equinox, a tradition which was founded by peace activist John McConnell in 1969.

Earth Day is possibly one of my favorite days in of the year!!!!  I try my best to be eco-friendly.  So today, at what felt to be the crack of dawn, I grabbed my May 9th bride, Tara, and our dogs and we went hiking in Lynn Canyon Park to celebrate Earth Day!

I am a BIG fan of this park and the suspension bridge.  It’s just so beautiful to me and one of the reasons I choose to live in such a beautiful city like Vancouver.

this wasn’t meant to be a photowalk – but I just couldn’t stop taking photos, everywhere I turned, was just simply more stunning then the next.

Here in Vancouver, we are so blessed to have this environment 10 minutes away from our door, a natural rainforest.  Let’s do our part to preserve it!
